Cody Kauffman

Cody Kauffman began his third season as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Merrimack College ahead of the 2021 season.

His first year in the Merrimack dugout saw the Warriors reach the Northeast-10 Conference Championship game for the second straight season. Kauffman helped Merrimack to a 28-win campaign, which saw seven different Warriors receive all-conference selections. Joey Porricelli was the top player in the NE10, receiving Co-Player of the Year honors, and also became the 10th All-American in school history. Kauffman assisted a defense that finished as the top in the conference in terms of fielding percentage (.971), finishing among the top 25 nationwide.

Kauffman arrives on campus after spending the past two seasons as the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Franklin Pierce University, where the Ravens amassed 66 wins over the last two years including a NCAA Tournament appearance one year ago. While at Franklin Pierce, Kauffman was responsible for new player recruitment and coordinating budgets for the baseball program while also assisting with coaching hitters and catchers during practice.

Also boasting experience with USA Baseball, Kauffman most recently worked as an Assistant Coach for the USA Baseball Women's National Team in the summer of 2017 and 2018. Kauffman has also served as a General Manager for the 12-and-under USA Baseball program in 2015, a team that won the World Cup in Taiwan. He also worked with the USA Collegiate National Team in 2014.

As a player, Kauffman split time at UMass Amherst (two seasons) and Franklin Pierce (two seasons). He was a two-time Rawlings Gold Glove recipient, as well.

Kauffman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and a Master's in Business Administration in Leadership from Franklin Pierce.
