Jon Cahill begins his first season as Assistant Baseball Coach in 2018.
Cahill graduated from UMass Lowell in 2001 and was a member of the Riverhawks' baseball program. He was a member of the first Riverhawks team in school history to reach the Division II College World Series in 2001. A First Team All-American in 2001, Cahill was inducted into the UMass Lowell Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008 and Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
After his college career, Cahill signed with the Anaheim Angels as a free agent, advancing as high as AA following two seasons with the organization. Cahill is noted for having played all nine positions in a single game for the Cedar Rapids Kernals (A-ball) during the 2002 season. Cahill continued to play professionally in the Frontier League, earning an All-Star selection with the Washington Wild Things in 2004.
Cahill currently resides in Peabody, Mass.
