  • Title
    Assistant Baseball Coach

Sean Glavin will concluded his third season as Assistant Baseball Coach during the spring of 2016.

Glavin helped lead the Warriors to a 29-win campaign in 2016, the second most wins in program history. Glavin, who works primarilly with the hitters, saw Merrimack's offense post a .295 average as a unit, the program's highest total in 15 years.

A former two-sport star at Nichols College, Glavin was a three-year starter at first base and was named an All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selection in 2004 and 2006. He started on the most successful teams in the history of the program during his playing tenure; in 2004, the Bison posted a school-record 22 wins and then repeated that feat a year later.

Glavin left Nichols among the all-time career leader in hits, home runs, and on-base percentage. His best season came in 2004, when he ranked in the top-five in the Commonwealth Coast Conference in home runs (5), slugging percentage (.515) and on-base percentage (.477).

But that wasn't all; he was a four-year member of the Bison's football team and was named an All-Worcester Area selection in 2003 at tight end. He graduated in 2006 with a degree in marketing.

Since then, he has enjoyed several coaching stints, including head basketball coach at Matignon High School; assistant varsity and head freshman baseball and basketball coach at Billerica High School; and varsity a number of positional coaches for the Billerica High School football team.

Glavin resides in Billerica, Mass.
