Tom Hudon begins his second season as Assistant Baseball Coach in 2017.
Hudon returns as Merrimack's pitching coach after serving in the same capacity during the 2016 season. Hudon arrived on campus after a four-year career at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm College, emerging as one of the top options on the Hawks' staff.
In 2017, Hudon guided the Warriors' staff to a 4.43 team ERA, which drastically improved as the season went on. The month of April saw Merrimack's hurlers lead the team to a 15-6 record, recording a 2.46 staff ERA and limiting opponents to a .242 batting average. Hudon guided senior reliever Nate Spielvogel to an all-conference and all-region campaign, finishing the year with a 0.74 ERA over 24.1 innings pitched, striking out 43 hitters.
Hudon graduated from Saint Anselm, ranking among the Hawks' all-time leaders in most pitching statistics. He ranks third in innings pitched (243.1), third in strikeouts (197), seventh in wins (11) and ninth in ERA (4.03).
