Hannah Richard

Richard joined the Warriors in September of 2021 with a bevy of collegiate coaching experience. Most recently, she was the head coach at Regis College after she completed a pair of seasons as the top assistant coach at Tufts University. Prior to her time with the Jumbos, Richard served as the top assistant at two Patriot League schools, Holy Cross and Bucknell.

In thrilling overtime fashion, Richard picked up her first win at the helm Oct. 10 thanks to Anne-Sophie Hogenboom's game-winner in the extra session. Throughout the season, Richard also had Julie Wester earn NEC Rookie of the Week honors and all three of the team's top scorers were sophomores or younger.

After the season, Merrimack was also recognized with 14 players chosen to the NFHCA Division I national academic squad. Four players, Vanessa Kaddaras, Meaghan O'Brien, Juliane Ohmen and Bridget Shanahan also earned the honor for the third year in a row.

As a student-athlete, she enjoyed a decorated playing career at New Hampshire that included an America East All-Conference Second Team selection, was on a pair of America East championship teams and made two NCAA tournament appearances with the Wildcats. She was also named to the America East Academic Honor Roll during her time in Durham.

Richard completed her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in sport studies from UNH in 2014 and earned her master's degree in athletic administration from Lock Haven in 2016.
