Lindsey Nerbonne

Lindsey Nerbonne joined the field hockey staff as an assistant coach beginning in the summer of 2018, and is set for her second season with the program in 2019.

Enjoying an impressive debut season on the sideline, Nerbonne was a member of the program's first-ever conference-championship winning coaching staff. The Warriors won the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Championship, defeating Bentley, Stonehill and Saint Anselm at Duane Stadium to capture the league crown. Nerbonne was instrumental in a Merrimack team that enjoyed a 13-game regular season winning streak (second longest in school history), reached the school's fifth NCAA Tournament, set a new school record for single-season wins and conference victories, and saw three players earn All-American status and eight achieve all-conference accolades. 

Nerbonne arrived on campus after graduating from the University of New Hampshire in 2017. Both Nerbonne and Shea are alumna of the Wildcats field hockey program, which the former playing three years in Durham, N.H. from 2014-16. Nerbonne served a team captain during her senior campaign, which saw her start all 19 games and contribute a team-leading 13 goals.

Beginning her collegiate career at Syracuse, Nerbonne playing for the nationally renowned Orange in the 2013 season before transferring to UNH. Starting in all 59 of her appearances for the Wildcats over three seasons, Nerbonne scored 38 goals and tallied 83 points in her career at UNH. She earned three all-conference selections from America East in her career – including a pair of first-team honors (2015,2016) – and was named a Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Northeast Region Second Team selection in 2016. She also played in the 2016 Victory Sports Tours / NFHCA Division I Senior Game in 2016, and was a Young Women’s National Championship selection.

Academically, Nerbonne received multiple honors over her career including a two-time member of the NFHCA National All-Academic Squad (2014, 2015). The Bow, N.H. native also earned a spot on the America East Commissioners Honor Roll (2014) and the America East Academic Honor Roll (2015).

Nerbonne earned her degree in Kinesiology: Outdoor Education from New Hampshire in 2017, and currently resides in Winnisquam, N.H.
