Andy Byron will be spending his second season as part of the Merrimack College football coaching staff in 2018-19, serving as the linebackers coach.

Byron's efforts helped Merrimack's defense rank fourth in yards per game allowed in the Northeast-10 Conference in 2017, as Merrimack boasted the second-ranked rushing defense. He also helped produce an all-conference rookie team selection in redshirt freshman linebacker Jake Ragusa in 2017, as well.

Byron graduated from Springfield College.
