Clancy started his pro career with the Örebro Black Knights, leading them to a second-place finish in the league, before signing on with the Blacktips of the FXFL for the fall of the 2014 season. Then, after his first AFL stint with the San Jose SaberCats in February of 2015, he joined the Los Angeles KISS that spring.
The former Warrior was a two-time Northeast-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year and all-conference first team selection and was set a number of school and conference single-season and career records. At the NE10 level, he ranks first in career completions, second in career passing yards and third in career touchdowns. He became the first player in conference history to pass for 4,000 yards in a single season in 2015, during which he also was named a BSN Honorable Mention All-American and the Gridiron Football Club of Greater Boston's Co-Offensive Player of the Year, as well as a New England Football Writers All-New England Team selection and a Daktronics All-Super Region I Second Team selection.
