Pat Graham

Patrick Graham is in his fifth season as linebackers coach in 2017-18 as part of a second stint with the football proggram.

Since his return, Graham has helped lead the charge in a transformation of Merrimack's defense. The Warriors have been one of the most-improved units on that side of the ball over the last four years, and Graham helped produce one all-conference linebacker in 2016.

Graham arrived after serving as Linebacker Coach at Saint Anselm during the 2012 campaign.

Before Saint Anselm, Graham served as the head coach at Methuen (Mass.) High School from 2008-11. He posted a 26-18 record after taking over a program that had gone 3-37 over the previous four years, including two winless seasons and a 33-game losing streak. Graham was named the Merrimack Valley Conference Coach of the Year, as well as the Eagle-Tribune Coach of the Year in 2008, in addition to receiving Boston Globe Division 2 Coach of the Year honors in 2010.

Prior to his time at Methuen, Graham served a three-year stint as both the defensive and special teams coordinator at Lowell (Mass.) High School.

In 2000, Graham joined Harvard University for what would be a three-year stay as the assistant defensive line coach. He assisted in the development of six All-Ivy defensive linemen and helped the team go a perfect 9-0 en route to an Ivy League title in 2001.

During Graham's first coaching stint on campus, he worked with the linebackers and also served as the strength and condition coach at Merrimack from 1996-99. He temporarily worked with the Warriors again in the spring of 2008 as the outside linebackers coach.

Graham began his coaching career at Central Connecticut State University as the offensive line coach from 1993-95.

Graham played at Central Connecticut State, serving as team captain and earning All-New England, as well as East Coast I-AA All-Star honors.

Graham, who has been a physical education teacher at McCarthy Middle School in Chelmsford, Mass., since 2000 and worked at Chelmsford's Parker Middle School for three years before that, earned his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Central Connecticut State in 1996. Graham then received his Master's in Secondary Education from Fitchburg State College in 2001.

Graham currently resides in Hampton, New Hampshire, with his wife, Haley, as well as his daughters, Shea and Bryn.
