Before Merrimack: Spent two years in the USHL before moving to the NAHL in 2014-15 ... Fought through nagging injuries that cost him most of two seasons in juniors ... Last played for the Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL) and dressed in nine games, scoring once while posting a +1 rating ... Appeared in two of the Brahmas' playoff games ... Previously was a member of the Youngstown Phantoms from 2012-14, logging eight games and recording two assists.

Personal: Born May 26, 1994 ... Son of Bob and Karen ... Has two siblings, Matthew and David, both of whom have NHL ties ... Matthew is a current member of the Tampa Bay Lightning and formerly skated for the Philadelphia Flyers, while David was recruited to play for the University of Denver but was forced to retire from hockey in July of 2008 after being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and was also a seventh-round NHL Draft Pick by the Lightning ... Finance major and communications minor.
