Derek Lautieri, MA, LAT. ATC

Derek Lautieri joins the Merrimack staff from The Derryfield School in Manchester, NH. He received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Northeastern University and his master's degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Through his co-op experiences, he worked with men's hockey, women's hockey and crew (DI); lacrosse, basketball, volleyball and soccer (DII); and baseball and swimming (DIII).  He has also worked with the Orthopedic Department at Boston City Hospital. In addition, Derek has been a NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for more than 20 years, working with a range of athletes with diverse abilities. He broadened his ATC with the addition of certificates in Speed, Agility and Quickness and in Sport Yoga, and he also became a Master Health and Wellness Coach, focusing on the whole body and mind health. Derek is an adjunct professor in athletic training in the School of Health Science and in his spare time he has completed two ironman half distance triathlons, a number of Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, and competed in four half marathons.
