Rich Hart joins the Merrimack Track and Field coaching staff for the 2025-26 season, which is also his 44th year of coaching (29th in college, 15 in high school) he has previously coached at Franklin Pierce University, America International College, Stonehill, Northeastern, and UMass Boston. Rich is the President of the New England Intercollegiate Athletic Assoc. for CC/T&F, Meet Director for several NCAA Regional and conference CC/T&F Championships and Holds USTFCCCA Level II (Jumps) and USATF Level I Coaching Certifications, as well as being a former member of the NCAA Div. II CC / T&F Committee and USATF and Mass. Track and Field certified official.


Rich is also currently serving as the Associate Director of Admissions at Franklin Pierce University.

Been an assistant or head coach for over 40 Conference or New England team champions,  coaching 32 All-Americans and over 30 individual New England champions in that time and two NCAA Champions:  Corey Thomas (D. II HJ) and Rob Grieco (D. III SP)

    He's also coached All-Americans in the following Events:  High Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus Throw, Hammer / Weight Throw, Pentathlon, + Relays

 He is married to Rose Marie Hart and has 2 adult children (Briana and Ricky).
