- Registered a PB mile time of 4:32.71 at the BU Terrier Classic…Finished 15th in the 800m with a PR time of 2:05.26 at the Crimson Open…At the Black and Gold Invite, Shahbazian placed 43rd in the 5000 with a collegiate low 15:59.77…Finished eighth in the 1500 with a time of 4:17.13 at the Merrimack Alumni Classic.
Before Merrimack
Graduate of Andover High School...Cross country USATF Junior Olympic Champion...Named USATF NE Athlete of the Month...Set records in the 1500m, 3000m, and steeplechase.

Why Merrimack?
"The school's close proximity to my home and work offered me a great opportunity to be able to have a full-time job in Software Engineering, while also allowing me to pursue my master's degree in that field. Additionally, being from Andover, I grew up rooting for the Warriors and it was really cool to have the opportunity to participate in Division I athletics at my hometown school."
