Paige McCormick embarks on her third season as an assistant coach with the Merrimack staff. McCormick has been a part of back to back conference semifinals appearances in 2024 and 2025.
McCormick joins the staff under Kelly Morrone after graduating from Merrimack in 2022. She spent one season in North Andover after spending time at both the University of Massachusetts and Roberts Wesleyan University as a player. In her lone season with the Warriors she averaged 5.8 points per game. She had a season-high 17 points and six steals against the University of New Hampshire.
After graduation, McCormick was named an assistant coach for the men's team at St. Lawrence University. In her one season with the Saints, she guided the program to 19 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance, the program's first since the 2016-17 season. The team also won a Liberty League Championship, the first since in 09-10 season. At St. Lawrence McCormick was the recruiting coordinator, worked primarily with the guards, and was a key cog in player development. The Saints staff also earned Coaching Staff of the Year last season where they ranked in the top 15 in the nation for field goal percentage defense. McCormick helped to produce stand out seasons from multiple players. One player (Trent Adamson) earned All-Liberty First Team and another player (Trey Syroka) earned All-Liberty Second Team who also led the conference in steals per game and ranked 9th nationally last season in steals.Â
