Dana Gobeil enters his fifth season at Merrimack in 2022-23 and second with the men's ice hockey program after he served in the same role for the women's ice hockey team for three years prior. 

Gobeil joined the program's support staff for the 2018-19 season after time spent with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats – the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays – as well as the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). He was the club house/equipment manager for the Fisher Cats and the head equipment manager for the Blades.

A 2010 graduate from the University of New England, Gobeil earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in business. He was a member of the UNE men's ice hockey team and served as team captain and also played on the club baseball team.
