Jake Anderson enters his second season with the women's ice hockey coaching staff in 2018-19 and serves as assistant coach.
Anderson arrives in North Andover after two seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he served as recruiting coordinator and oversaw the Engineers' defense, goaltenders and power play unit. In addition to his game management and practice planning, Anderson oversaw team video breakdown and scouting, and those efforts helped lead RPI to back-to-back postseason appearances over the last two years while the power play improved from an eight-percent success rate to 14 percent from 2015-16 to 2016-17.
Prior to RPI, Anderson also spent a similar two-year tenure at the College of the Holy Cross, where he helped the Crusaders to a combined record of 36-15-4 over his two years.
Anderson also worked at a pair of private goaltending academies, including the Goalie Academy of Virginia and Goalie Academy of Boston from October 2011 through October 2013. He was a full-time instructor while also running clinics, managing the pro shop and updating and maintaining the website and other marketing tools. He also coached at the high school and youth levels, including stints with the Howard Huskies and Reston Raiders of the Howard Maryland and Reston Virginia Youth Hockey Leagues, respectfully.
A native of Faribault, Minn., Anderson attended Shattuck St. Mary's from 2003-07, where he played hockey, golf and tennis. He earned Bachelor's Degree in Business from American International College in 2011 and was a goaltender and four-year member of the men's ice hockey team. A multiple Dean's List selection, he also played tennis for the Yellow Jackets.
