Mike Vaughan has been with Merrimack as Director of Women's Ice Hockey Operations since the inagural 2015-16 season with the program.
Vaughan worked with the USA Women's National Hockey Team as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach from 2014-16. He was the Strength Coach for the IIHF U18 Gold Medalist team, and was a Strength and Conditioning/Nutrition Intern for the 2014 USA Women's Olympic Hockey Silver Medalist Team.
Vaughan also works as a strength coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, and has interned at Northeastern University with their Strength and Conditioning program.
He boasts a certification from the NSCA as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He also is USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, FMS Level 1 Coach and American Red Cross CPR/AED & First Aide certified.
Vaughan is a 2013 graduate of Fitchburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise & sport science, where he played football. He also graduated with a M.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Merrimack College in the spring of 2018.
A New England native, Vaughan currently resides in Shirley, Massachusetts with his wife, Erin.
