Aubrey O'Neill completed her first season as Assistant Women's Rowing Coach in 2016-17.

Working with Merrimack's entire roster and overseeing the novice events during competitions, O'Neill helped guide Merrimack's novice fours boat to a second-place finish at the New England Rowing Championships. The Warroiors' improved on their sixth-place qualifying time to move up four spots in the finals. The novice crew registered three top-three finishes on the season. 

O'Neill returns to Merrimack after a four-year career with the Warriors, including serving as team captain in 2014-15 and 2015-16. O'Neill served as the stroke on Merrimack's Varsity Fours boat for the past three years, racing to some of the program's best finishes over her career. 

Last summer, O'Neill was part of the first-ever group of Warriors to compete at the international level. Merrimack competed at the Women's Henley Regatta in the summer of 2016, winning the program's first-ever race outside of the United States. 

O'Neill earned her bachelor's degree in human development from Merrimack in May of 2016.Â
