Alina Porzio was named Assistant Athletic Director for Game Atmosphere and Spirit/Head Dance Coach, Director of Athletics in the December of 2025.
“As our dance team coach, Alina has played a pivotal role in shaping the energy and excitement of our game-day environment,” Foley said. “This promotion to Assistant Athletic Director for Game Atmosphere and Spirit is a natural progression of her leadership, creativity, and impact on school spirit.”

Porzio, a 2017 Merrimack graduate, has been the head coach of the dance team since January of 2018 and she will continue in that role.
The Tewksbury, MA native was hired as Merrimack’s Manager of Club Sports in 2022. She was promoted to Director of Spirit in January 2024, where she oversaw both the dance team and cheerleading, and worked closely with the band.
Porzio helped guide the dance team to becoming a varsity sport in 2022. She coached the Warriors to three National runner-up finishes, two of which came in the team’s second-year competing in Division I.
Porzio graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Merrimack.
