Andrew Finch begins his first season as Assistant Women's Rowing Coach during the 2019-20 season. 

Finch brings a plethora of rowing experience to Merrimack. He has served on the coaching staffs at local programs such as Philips Andover and St. John's Prep. He has been the head coach at Philips since 2015, guiding one of the top programs in New England, and developing an average of five Division I commitments each season. At Saint John's, he founded the rowing program for the Eagles, and saw over 100 athletes train for the team during its inaugural season (2016). Additionally, Finch served as the assistant coach at the Brooks School for five years, including a three-year run from 2013-15. 

As an athlete, Finch was a member of the United States Rowing Team - Lightweight 4 - from 1994-96. He competed in three World Championships during those years, training year-round for the World Championships and Olympics in locations such as San Diego, Miami, Philadelphia, Boston and Princeton. He won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games and was a five-time US National Champion. 

Finch graduated from Boston University in 1994 with a dual concentration in business management and finance. He was a member of the rowing program, receiving the Team MVP award during his senior year (1994).
