Erin Carmody has been appointed Assistant Athletic Director for Annual Giving at Merrimack College.

In this role, Carmody will oversee annual giving initiatives for Merrimack Athletics, focusing on donor engagement, stewardship, and the growth of philanthropic support for Warrior athletics.

"I’m excited to join Merrimack College at such a pivotal time for Warrior Athletics,” Carmody said. “The culture here is driven by passionate people who have elevated this program to new heights and I’m eager to build on that momentum by engaging our donors and supporters as we continue to grow."

Carmody brings significant experience in collegiate athletic development and external relations. Most recently, she served as Director of Development with Air Force’s Falcon Athletic Fund, where she solicited and grew philanthropic support, led alumni engagement events, and oversaw premium seating sales for football, basketball, and hockey. Her work emphasized relationship-driven fundraising and strategic cultivation of leadership and annual fund donors.

Prior to that, Carmody spent two years at Penn State as Assistant Director for the Annual Fund with the Nittany Lion Club. There she secured leadership gifts, conducted extensive in-person donor outreach, and helped develop a pipeline of annual giving supporters into major gift prospects.

She also served as a Graduate Assistant with the Ohio Bobcat Club, coordinating high-level donor events and leading successful sport-specific crowdfunding initiatives.

Carmody holds a Masters of Sport Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from Ohio University, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Sports Studies from St. Bonaventure University where she was a two-year captain of the Women’s swimming team.
