The Merrimack College men's track and field program closed out its fall semester with a showcase performance at the Howlin' Husky Invitational at Northeastern this past Saturday. Racing against some of the toughest competition in Division I, junior Ryan Nesta finished the 60-meter hurdles in a record-setting time, earning him Fuddrucker's Male Athlete of the Week.
Nesta, a junior from Milford, Mass., placed inside the top five in the 60-meter hurdles, shattering the previous school record and setting the new time-to-beat at 8.47. His placement was the highest Division II finish in the event, with Merrimack being well represented across the board in just its second meet of the season.
The Warriors are back in action in the beginning of the new year, competing in the Harvard Multi-Meet January 11-12.
