Homecoming Weekend Update (Oct. 26, 2018)

We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus and kicking off Merrimack's Homecoming Weekend this evening with the annual MacktoberFest at 7:30PM. It will be a great opportunity to gather with alumni, friends and students for games, food, and music in Duane Stadium.

As you may be aware, we are expecting inclement weather on Saturday and have been monitoring weather conditions as it relates to safety for our outdoor events. As such, we would like to announce the following updates:

5K Race, 8am- Registration has been moved to Volpe Lobby in the Merrimack Athletics Complex - located directly across from Duane Stadium.

Pre-Reserved Tailgate - Opening at 10am

As in years past, rain and temperatures will not deter us from enjoying our Homecoming events. We are monitoring wind conditions with an eye toward the safe use of pop-up tents in the tailgating areas. Should wind conditions remain as predicted, the use of pop-up tents will not be allowed due to the risk they impose by being blown away and causing harm to people and property.

The College will make a final decision relating to wind-related issues tomorrow (Saturday) by 8am. In the meantime, we advise that you consider the impact of not having the use of rain cover in the tailgating areas.

Family Lot (Rogers Center - Lot E)
Games and crafts will be moved to the first floor lounge in the Sakowich Campus Center.

Tailgate Homecoming Giveaways can be picked up from Merrimack Staff who will be located in each tailgate area.

Football vs American International will kick off at 1pm. Complimentary ponchos will available for fans.

Women's Soccer vs. St. Anselm plays at 6pm on Martone-Mejail field.

The College will continue to post updates to schedules and Homecoming events on the Merrimack College website (www.merrimack.edu) tomorrow morning and sent via email.

Thank you for your understanding. GO WARRIORS!

ABOUT

Each year, Merrimack College welcomes alumni, parents, families and Warrior fans from all over the country to return to campus for one of the most memorable weekends of the academic year: Homecoming!

Join us for a crisp fall weekend to celebrate all things Merrimack.
