NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. ā Following its 32 point season and a second-place finish in the NE10 Conference, the No. 24 and second-seeded Merrimack College men's soccer team opens the NE10 Championship with a quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday night at Martone-Mejail Field at 7 p.m. against seventh-seeded Franklin Pierce.

- Merrimack defeated Assumption, 1-0, on the final day of the regular season on the road, clinching the second-seed in the NE10 Championship in the process.
- Junior Lars Sund (Stavanger, Norway) scored the lone goal in the game on a cross from freshman Filippo Begliardi Ghidini (Ravenna, Italy) in the 35th minute. Senior keeper Lucas Rezende (Weymouth, Mass.) made a single save in the contest, coming in the second half.

- The Warriors and Franklin Pierce squared off back on Oct. 18, when Merrimack won, 1-0. Senior Mattia Lanzi (Vitberbo, Italy) scored off a turnover by the Raven's keeper, and then chipping the ball over the keepers head into the open net in the 32nd minute.
- Rezende came up with three saves in the contest.
The Ravens:
- Franklin Pierce finished the conference slate with 17 points and five conference wins to finish seventh in the league.
- The Ravens concluded the regular season with a 3-1 win over Stonehill on Friday.
- Noam Kolakofsky led the team with 18 points with six goals and six assists, while Jadel Poon-Lewis had a 7-6-2 record in net and four shutouts.
