BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's track & field team had a strong showing at the UMass Boston Indoor Opener on Saturday afternoon from the Reggie Lewis Center.

Top Performances
- Senior Keith Steinbrecher (Wading River, N.Y.) won the 5000 meter with a personal record of 15:10.22. Classmate Christian Gentile (Melrose, Mass.) finished third in the event, just over 11 seconds behind Steinbrecher.
- Junior Jacob Robinson (Riverhead, N.Y.) won the 200 meter with a time of 22.32 seconds, breaking the meet record of former Warrior Taylor Jean-Gilles.
- Sophomore transfer student Eric Rosario (Methuen, Mass.) made his Warriors' debut in the 400 meter, placing third in the event with a time of 50.66 seconds, less than a full second behind the winner from Brandeis.
- Junior Tyler Lebel (Saco, Maine) had a third-place finish in the 500-meter event.
- The combination of Lebel, Rosario, sophomore Patrick Whyte (Bloomfield, Conn.), and freshman Patrick Forrest (Norwood, Mass.) finished third in the 4x400 relay event, coming in at a time of 3:24.56, less than a full second behind the winning squad from RPI.
- Junior Trevor Ciempa (Adams, Mass.) had a strong finish in the high jump, finishing third with a 1.95 meter jump.
