WALTHAM, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's soccer team resumes play on Wednesday at Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference action at 3:30 p.m. at Bentley Field. Both teams are looking for their first conference wins of the season.
Last Time Out
- The Warriors opened up NE10 play on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 loss at No. 15 Adelphi.
- Junior Tori Daigle (Dayton, Maine) broke up the shutout in the 66th minute of the second half on a set piece taken by senior Emily Maier (Mesa, Ariz.). The ball got through a crowd of defenders and Daigle was by the net to tap in the loose ball.
Last Season/Inside the Series vs. Bentley:
- The Warriors and Falcons met in mid-October for an NE10 matchup at Martone-Mejail Field, with Bentley taking a 2-0 victory. Both teams had 23 shots, with Merrimack having a 10-7 edge in shots on target. Senior Molly Meehan (Fairfield, Conn.) had five saves in the contest.
- The Warriors have a 25-4-0 record against the Falcons, dating back to 1991.
- Senior Andrea Rego (Dartmouth, Mass.) has three goals in her career against Bentley, along with an assist, while classmate Victoria Carter (Smithfield, R.I.) has three helpers in her career against the Falcons.
The Falcons
- The Falcons enter the midweek contest with a 2-1 record and are 0-1 in NE10 play. After picking up wins against Molloy and Dominican (N.Y.) to start the year, the Falcons dropped a 2-1 double-overtime decision to AIC in their NE10 opener last Friday.
- Lindsey Connolly leads the team with three goals on six shots, while Stephane Helin has a goal and an assist. Deirdre Macrorie has played all 289:20 minutes at keeper and has a goals-against average of 0.93 and seven saves.

The Warriors return to Martone-Mejail Field on Saturday, Sept. 16 for their home-opener against LIU Post for a 6 p.m. kickoff. It will be the first of a three-game home-stand for Merrimack.
