Coaches Corner
Head Coach Megan Shea: "It was a disappointing end to today's game, but we have to keep moving forward. Losses like this build strength and awareness on what we need to work on moving forward. We need to execute better – 19 corners is tough to see – but we are looking forward to our next match."

Rapid Recap
  • After the first 15 minutes of the opening half went by without much action, Merrimack started to pressure the Pace cage. At the 16:32  mark, Kane netted her first goal of year to stake Merrimack to a 1-0 advantage
  • Late in the half, Pace capitalized on a penalty corner, with Rachel Platko tipping a shot in to tie the game
  • Freshman Colleen Ellis (Westford, Mass.) was active for the Warriors, tying for the team lead with five shots on net. Three of those came in the second half, including a last-second shot with 18 seconds remaining that was saved by Pace
  • Merrimack controlled the majority of the overtime session, attempting three corners and four shots over the first nine minutes, but could not find the back of the net
  • Pace's game-winner came on an odd-player rush. Sophomore goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen (Bremen, Germany) made a save on the initial shot in the 81st minute, but the rebound went out to the middle where Katrina Mikitish netted the game-winner
