NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College field hockey program aims to avenge Saturday's loss at Franklin Pierce on Tuesday evening when the Warriors head to Manchester, N.H. to face the Southern New Hampshire Penmen at 7 p.m. from Larkin Field.
Last Time Out:
- The Warriors fell to the Ravens by a 2-1 score in Rindge on Saturday afternoon
- After the Ravens went ahead on a penalty stroke, senior forward Rylie Hammond (Phillipston, Mass.) scored on a tip-in off a feed from junior Samantha Bartush (Norwalk, Conn.) late in the first half to tie the game
- Sophomore Katharina Ohmen (Bremen, Germany) and senior Kayla Raneri (Reading, Mass.) split time in net for the Warriors, with the former playing the first half and the latter in the second. For Raneri, it marked her debut on the season as the fourth-year keeper made six saves over the final 35 minutes

- Hammond ranks fourth in the Northeast-10 Conference in both goals (7) and points (15), leading the Warriors in both categories
- Senior Taylor Simpson (York, Maine) sits behind Hammond in both goals (4) and points (12), needing five more to become the fourth Warrior in program history to reach 100 career points
- Junior center back Delaney Yule (Southbury, Conn.) currently is tied for the conference lead in defensive saves (4) through eight games
Inside the Series:
- Tuesday will be the fifth meeting between the programs. The Penmen's field hockey program played in its inaugural season in 2014
- The first three contests went in favor of the Warriors, with Merrimack outscoring the Penmen by 19
- SNHU picked up its first win of the series last year, edging the Navy and Gold in overtime, 3-2
