NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 3 Merrimack College field hockey team will be seeking its 10
th consecutive win as they head to New Haven, Conn. for a Northeast-10 Conference matchup with Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday, Oct. 20
th, at 11 a.m.
Inside the Series:
- The Warriors have a 15-16 all-time record against the Owls
- Merrimack has not lost to SCSU since 2010, winning seven straight games
- The Warriors defeated the Owls last season, 12-1, at home. Senior Delaney Yule, senior Mary McNeil, and junior Lindsey Nolte all recorded multi-point games in the win
Five Things to Know:
- Merrimack extended its winning streak to nine games last win with a 2-1 win in double overtime over Assumption. The Warriors erased a halftime deficit for the third straight game with junior Alex Mondini scoring the game-tying tally and Nolte redirecting the game-winner home with less than seven minutes left in the second overtime. The nine-game run is tied for the second longest in program history, and longest since 2012

- McNeil and Yule were named to the 2018 Victory Sports Tours / NFHCA Senior Game, Â which will be played in November at Duquesne University. Fellow senior captain Samantha Bartush was named as an alternate player, and could be added to the 38-player roster pending if players cannot play or attend
- McNeil is nearing the program's career record for assist, needing two more to eclipse April Daugherty's '13 37 career helpers from 2009-12
- Merrimack leads the country in goals per game (4.09), penalty corners per game (14.73), points per game (10.55), and scoring average (4.02). The Warriors also rank second in the nation in winning percentage (.909) and scoring margin (2.77), while ranking #3 in the nation in assists per game (2.36)
