SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball ended its two-match weekend in New York with a 3-0 loss to Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon.

Set Breakdown
- Le Moyne opened an 11-5 lead in the opening set. Freshman Natasha Vallis started a 3-0 run that moved the Warriors within three, 11-8, but the Dolphins responded with a run that created a 17-9 lead. The hosts held on from there, winning by 12 (25-13)
- The hosts also started the second set well, opening a seven-point lead (11-4). The Warriors closed within four, 13-9, following points from freshman Megan Rumenapp, but the Dolphins responded with a stretch that led to a 16-9 advantage. Merrimack brought its deficit within seven, 21-14, but the hosts won four of the next seven points to take a 2-0 lead
- Junior Catherine Flaherty led Merrimack's effort in the third set, totaling 2.5 points in a set that saw Merrimack close within two, 15-13. Later in the set, freshman Kayla Zinser recorded a kill followed by an error that brought the visitors within two, 22-20. Le Moyne responded, however, with a 3-1 run to end the set
Top Performers
- Flaherty led the way with seven kills and no errors on 24 attacks for a .292 hitting percentage.
- Rumenapp led the way with 13 assists. She added five digs and a .500 hitting percentage
- Senior Katelynn Marr added team-high 10 digs
Notes and Notables
- In terms of total digs, both teams proved to be close with the hosts owning a 39-34 advantage
- The Dolphins owned a 12-2 advantage in aces
- Le Moyne's setters also contributed a 44-20 edge in assists
