NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After finishing the regular season in second place in the Northeast-10 Conference, the second-seeded Merrimack College women's tennis program will host third-seeded Adelphi University in the semifinals of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The contest will be played on Friday at 1 p.m. at North Andover High School, with the winner earning a berth to Sunday's NE10 Championship match.
PARKING ADVISORY
Due to the match beginning during school hours at North Andover High School, parking will be limited. Fans attending the match are asked to park at Home Grown Lacrosse (HGL), located immediately to the left and just prior to the entrance of North Andover High School on Osgood Street.

Five Things to Know:
- The Warriors placed five members on the NE10 All-Conference teams. Freshmen Rosemary Campanella and Hope Salts landed on the first team at fourth and sixth singles, respectively. Campanella was also named to the all-rookie team. Sophomore Cassie Restrepo received second-team honors at third singles, while senior Lauren Persson and junior Mia Briggs garnered third-team recognition at third doubles. Last but not least, head coach Dena Madden was named Coach of the Year, becoming the first coach of the program since 2013-14 to win the honor
- Merrimack finished the season with 10 victories, the seventh time in program history they reached double-digit wins.
- The squad started conference play strong with five straight wins, and only suffered blemishes to Adelphi and top-seeded Stonehill
- In NE10 play, the Navy and Gold posted a 9-2 record, their best mark since the 2013-14 season that they went a perfect 12-0. Seniors Mana Seifaei and Persson frequently played at the top-two spots in Merrimack's lineup to help guide to the program to its best season in recent memory
- Leading the team this year, freshmen Campanella and Salts combined for a 25-6 overall record, 15-2 and 10-4 respectively. Classmate Kristina Calistro also received recognition during the season as a NE10 Rookie of the Week receipient
Inside the Matchup:
- In the match against the Panthers, Adelphi won the doubles point despite on playing two pairings
- The Panthers and Warriors then split the six singles matches, but Adelphi only needed to win three to claim the match
- Friday will mark the third time that Merrimack and Adelphi have met in the NE10 Semifinals since 2014-15, and the first of the three to be played in North Andover. The Warriors upset the Panthers in 2014-15 to reach the conference final, but Adelphi avenged that defeat with a win the following year
Up Next
With a win, Merrimack will advance to the NE10 Championship match for the first time since 2014-15, and look for its first league crown since the 2013-14 campaign. The Warriors would either travel to Stonehill to face the regular season champs or host Le Moyne on Sunday, pending the result of Friday's other semifinal.
