STORRS, Conn. – Junior
Denis Davydov of the Merrimack College men's tennis team won at first singles in his match against UConn's top option on Sunday afternoon, but the host Huskies prevailed, 6-1, in a non-conference match held at the UConn Tennis Courts. The match concluded a weekend in the Nutmeg State for the Warriors, which saw Merrimack compete in a tournament at Connecticut College on Saturday.

- Other highlights from singles included Fedorov winning his first set, 6-1, before falling in three at the fourth flight. Freshman Andre Singer played sixth singles after not appearing in doubles, and nearly forced a winner-take-all third set, but lost in a second-set tiebreak, 7-6 (5)
