NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. ā The Merrimack College softball team begins a stretch of 13 straight games from Martone-Mejail Field, beginning with a rescheduled doubleheader against Bentley on Tuesday, March 27. The first pitch for game one is 3 p.m. The game is being made up from Wednesday, March 21, where the Warriors would have played at Bentley. The Falcons will be the home team in the two-game set.
Last Time Out:
- Merrimack split a doubleheader with American International this past weekend, taking game one by a score of 5-0, before the Yellow Jackets took the second game 5-4.
- In game one, senior Megan Cook pitched her sixth complete game and fourth shutout for her seventh win of the year. Junior Nicole Nanof had two RBI in the game, while senior Alyssa Williamson went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI.
- In the second game, the Warriors trailed 4-1 heading into the fifth, but tied it up on a two-run double by freshman Abigail Amato. However, the home team won on a bases-loaded walk-off walk in the seventh.

- The Warriors are receiving votes in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) poll.
- Cook has posted a 7-1 record in the circle with four shutouts and a pair of saves. She has 62 strikeouts on the year. She boasts a 1.21 ERA. Offensively, she is second on the team with a .467 batting average and has a team-high five doubles.
- Williamson has a team-high .481 average and has played in all 17 games. She and junior Caitlin McBride each lead the team with 13 RBI. Sophomore Tiffany Mangiameli is batting .321 and has 10 stolen bases on the year, which is already a career-high for a single season.
Bentley
- The two teams played last week in the Warriors' home opener, with Bentley coming out on top 4-2.
- The Falcons are coming off a four-game road trip at Southern Connecticut State and New Haven. They went 1-3 during the trip, taking the first game against the Owls 12-8, before dropping the next three, including being swept by the Chargers.
- Juliana Romeo leads the offense with 17 hits and a .309 average. She is one of three Falcons with a home run. Lea Thompson has 10 hits and a team-high seven RBI.
- Ashley Keegan has logged 45.1 innings and has a 3-4 record. Lauren Calabrese has gone 1-4 on the year and has a team-high 27 strikeouts in the circle in 33.2 innings of work.
