NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 14 Merrimack College women's lacrosse team will go for its fourth consecutive victory on Tuesday (April 3) night, as the Warriors travel to Springfield to battle American International College in a midweek Northeast-10 Conference matchup. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Inside the Series:
  • Over the last decade, Merrimack owns a 7-3 record against AIC.
  • The Warriors snapped a three-game losing streak last year with a 14-10 victory at home against the Yellow Jackets.
  • Merrimack's last win on the road against AIC was on March 27, 2012, a 19-8 victory.
Last Time Out:
  • Three different players found the back of the net five times as part of a 21-8 Merrimack victory last Wednesday at Saint Michael's College.
  • After Merrimack scored just 59 seconds into the game, Saint Michael's went ahead after back-to-back tallies and had a 2-1 lead less than five minutes in.
  • The two teams would go back-and-forth as the Purple Knights refused to go quietly, leading at one point by a 6-5 score. That, however, was the last time the hosts would be in front, as Merrimack closed out the half with the final eight goals over a span of 12:34, as four different Warriors would send the visitors into the break ahead by a 13-6 score.
  • While Saint Michael's had the opening goal of the second half and then found the back of the net again with 17:49 left, the lead never grew less than six from there on out, as the Warriors went on another lengthy scoring run to close out the contest.
Poll Watch:
  • Merrimack's schedule features seven opponents that are ranked in the most recent Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national rankings.
  • The Warriors already faced Adelphi (ranked second when they played), Mercy (ranked 12th), Pace (14th), Stonehill (20) and New Haven (8), and upcoming ranked opponents include Le Moyne (4), Bentley (22) and Assumption (23).
'Mack Facts:
  • Merrimack's 6-3 start is its best six-game record since the 2011 season; that year, the Warriors finished 12-7 overall. Merrimack also will be looking for its first four-game win streak since the 2010 season.
  • The NE10's fourth-ranked offense enters Tuesday averaging 15.67 goals per game, as the Warriors have posted double-digit goal totals in each of their first nine games, doing so for the first time since 2010 when they did so in 14 straight games.
  • On the other end, Merrimack has the third-best scoring defense in the league allowing 10.44 goals per game.
  • Junior Amber Feminella leads Merrimack – and ranks second in the NE10 – with 38 goals and ranks fourth overall with 47 points on the season.
  • She is one of seven Warriors with double-digit scoring figures; freshman Haley Bartlett ranks second with 24 goals and is tied with junior Bridget Schofield for second in overall scoring with 29 points. Sophomore Ally DaCosta leads the Warriors by a wide margin with 21 assists.
  • Sophomore Olivia Colletti leads the team with 30 draw controls, while freshman Kelsey Daly has caused a team-most 11 turnovers.
