NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 6 Merrimack College field hockey team will face the University of New Haven in the first matchup between the two programs on Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Warriors are currently on a four-game winning streak, defeating American International, 6-1, in their most recent game at home on Saturday.
Last Time Out:
- Merrimack defeated American International, 6-1, on Saturday for its fourth consecutive victory
- Sophomore Colleen Ellis led Merrimack offensively, scoring two goals to help the Warriors earn their fifth win of the season; She now has five goals on the season
- After assisting on the first goal of the game, senior Mary McNeill would put one in the back of the net for her sixth goal of the season; she also added two assists in the contest
- Juniors Jessica Palmer, Alex Mondini, and freshman Isabelle Duseau, all recorded a goal in the 6-1 victory
- Junio goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen did not record a save in the game as a result of terrific defending by the Merrimack defense

- McNeil is leading the nation in assists per game (1.17), pacing a very offensively potent Merrimack squad
- After a 16-point campaign as a junior, McNeil has already surpassed that with 19 points in just six games. The Canton, Mass. native leads Merrimack in almost every individual statistical category including goals (6), assists (7), shots (26) and points (19)
- Ohmen has also posted impressive statistics this season for the Warriors. She leads all Division ll keepers with an .878 save percentage. Ohmen is also fourth in the nation in goals against average (0.83) and seventh in the nation in saves per game (7.20)
- The Warriors score nearly two more goals then the next closest NE10 foe
- As a team, the Warriors are number one in the country in scoring average (5.00), hold the country's best scoring margin (4.17), rank first nationwide in assists per game (3.17), first in points per game (13.17), first in penalty corners per game (15.00), and third in goals against average (.83)
