BABSON PARK, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's tennis program saw its depth prevail on Thursday at Babson; the Warriors took a 2-1 lead after doubles and won at No. 4-6 singles, claiming a 5-4 win over the Beavers.

- Playing Division III rules that plays a best-of-nine format, the Warriors won two of three doubles matches to take a one-point lead into singles. Merrimack posted three-game wins at the second and third flights with the pairing of sophomore Rosemary Campanella and freshman Kelly Klaren winning at No. 2, and senior Mia Briggs and sophomore Hope Salts winning at No. 3
- Salts dominated at fifth singles, 6-2 and 6-0, to pick up an impressive triumph there. Briggs edged her opponent at No. 6 in the first set, 6-4, before a 6-2 win in the final frame. Klaren added the team's third win, 6-3, and 6-1, at the fourth flight
- Sophomore Kristina Calistro (No. 1), Campanella (No. 2) freshman Allyson Nerf (No. 3) rounded out the singles lineup; Nerf saw her match at No. 3 decided in a 10-pointer tiebreaker (7-5, 5-7, 1-0 [11-9])
- The victory improved Merrimack's dual-match record to 3-0 this fall
