Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men's Tennis Wins Convincingly against Daemen

North Andover, Mass. – The Merrimack College Men's Tennis team won in convincing fashion on Saturday morning, where the Warriors beat Daemen College, 7-0. This was Merrimack's first match of the season that was not an invitational tournament and the Warriors earned their first win of the season.

The Basics:

Rapid Recap:
  • The Warriors took home both doubles matches in the one and two spot, winning comfortably. The pairing of Jonathan Garcia and Conrad Koch took home the 6-4 victory in the one spot, while the second pairing of Alec Mackay Rodriguez and Marshall Wood won (6-3).
  • In the first singles, senior Denis Davydov earned a dominating victory, winning in straight sets (6-0, 6-1). In the fourth singles, Mackay Rodriguez had a slightly tougher match, bringing home a win (6-4, 7-6).
  • In fifth singles for the Warriors, senior Paul Weidinger fought for a hard-earned victory, winning (7-6, 6-3).
 
Up Next:
The Warriors head up to Manchester, N.H. where they will take on the SNHU Penmen. The match will be held on October 13th.
