NEW BRITAIN, CONN. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team competed against Central Connecticut for the second time this season on Friday evening, dropping a three-set decision to the host Blue Devils. Sophomore

Set Breakdown
- The Warriors looked to come out competitive, and did so with a big kill from senior Catherine Flaherty to bring the score to 1-1. The Blue Devils quickly took control of the set, going on a 12-3 run. Merrimack countered with three straight points, with a service ace from freshmen Taelyr Czech to bring the score to 6-14. The Blue Devils ran away with the set and won 25-9.
- Central Connecticut opened the second set on the 5-0 run and didn't look back. Merrimack was able to get the score 4-8 with a kill from sophomore Brooke Leestma. The Blue Devils commanded much of the second set and finished on a 17-5 run, taking home the second set 25-9.
- The Warriors were able to take a 2-0 lead to begin the final set. The Blue Devils responded with a 4-0 run of their own. Merrimack was unable to sustain their early success and the Blue Devils took the final set 25-11 to win the match 3-0.

- Sophomore Natasha Vallis and freshman Taylor Sawyer lead Warriors with 5 kills a piece.
- Sophomore Megan Rumenapp lead the Warriors with 8 assists on the night.
- Czech finished the night with 7 digs, leading the Warriors on the night.
