How It Happened
  • BU got on the board early, capitalizing on a power play at 4:07 off the stick of Dante Fabbro, who got a fortunate bounce on a shot that deflected off a Merrimack skater and in.
  • The Terriers made it 2-0 in the 11th minute of the opening stanza, netting their nation-high 10th shorthanded goal of the year while the Warriors were skating on their second power play.
  • BU tacked on its third goal 3:20 into the second period, again on the power play, before Drevitch brought the Warriors within two goals on the strength of his career-high seventh marker of the year at the 7:34 mark.
  • But the hosts countered two minutes later while skating 4-on-4, as Chad Krys netted his second of the game to push the Terriers ahead, 4-1, after 40 minutes.
  • Each side had power plays early in the third, but it was BU that capitalized, as Joel Farabee got behind the defense and went forehand-to-backhand to push the lead to 5-1, which went unchanged the rest of the way.
