NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a full week away from the diamond, the Merrimack College softball team will look to take three from Saint Michael's during Saturday and Sunday's weekend series. The games, originally scheduled to be played at Saint Michael's, have been moved to Merrimack, with 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. start times Saturday and a noon start Sunday.
Five Things to Know:
- The Warriors had to postpone four games last weekend, and moved Tuesday's contest with Assumption to a later date; it's the longest time away from play since the beginning of the season.
- Three of the top five stolen base leaders for the Northeast-10 Conference hail from Merrimack; Tiffany Mangiameli (13), Nicole Nanof (9), and Hannah Johnson (8).
- The Warriors have only played two divisional games this season, splitting with Assumption two weeks ago.
- Saint Michael's currently sports a 1-9 overall record, but will have a crack at Saint Anselm Friday night before making the trek to North Andover.
- Sophomore Bridget Soraghan leads the team with a 2.43 ERA, throwing a complete game in her last three starts.
