NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 18 Merrimack College women's lacrosse team heads home to take on defending national champion and top-ranked Le Moyne College on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day. Game time from Duane Stadium is set for 12 p.m.
BEER GARDENS AVAILABLE FOR HOME GAMES
Merrimack is pleased to offer a 21+ Beer Garden on the stadium patio for Saturday's women's lacrosse home game (opposite the press box side, closest to the Merrimack Athletics Complex). Five Things To Know:
- Merrimack has won four of its last five games, outscoring its opponents 76-38 in that span while averaging over 15 goals per game during that stretch. The Warriors' lone loss was at No. 3 Adelphi last Saturday, a game that they were in contention throughout.
- Merrimack is now averaging 13.25 goals per game while yielding 9.33 per game on the other end, ranking sixth and fourth, respectively, in the NE10 in both category. They've scored 10-plus goals in 10 out of their 11 games thus far while limiting opponents to single digits in eight games, as well.
- Fueled by 25 points in her last five games (18g, 7a), senior Amber Feminella continues to lead the team in scoring with 48 points on the season (35g, 13a). Sophomore Haley Bartlett, the 2018 NE10 Rookie of the Year, is right behind her with 44 points (33, 11a), while junior Ally DaCosta is the team's top playmaker with 17 assists and has 33 points overall (including 19 in her last five outings). Feminella also leads the team with 43 draw controls, ahead of rookie Olivia Valdes' 30, while sophomore Kelsey Daly – a 2018 NE10 All-Conference Third Team selection – has caused 14 turnovers, the most by any Warrior.
- Senior Lauren Trepaney has started every game in net and ranks in the top-20 nationally in both goaltending categories and in the top-four in the NE10 (9.36 GAA, .526 SV%); her 10.17 saves per game are good for third in the conference and 24th in the country.
- Merrimack will be looking for its first win in eight tries against Le Moyne. The Dolphins are undefeated thus far in 12 tries; the defending national champions have three players with 45-plus points led by Bryanna Fazio's 56 (39g, 17a). She also has a team-high 82 draw controls. Jessica Dussing's 17 caused turnovers are the most on the team, while Hannah George has started all 12 games in net with a 5.47 goals against average and .559 save percentage.
