NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After sweeping Southern New Hampshire on senior day, the Merrimack College softball program locked up the #3 seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, and will host #4 Assumption Tuesday afternoon. Merrimack finished the regular season with a 13-8 northeast divisional record, winning seven of its final eight divisional games to secure a home playoff match.

Five Things to Know:

• Merrimack is 16-15 all-time against the Greyhounds; the last time the two teams met up in the NE10 Championship was last season, where Merrimack blanked Assumption to advance to Championship weekend.
• Merrimack walked off in game one against SNHU Saturday, using an RBI single from senior Hannah Johnson; in game two, senior Melanie DeAlmeida threw her second-career complete-game shutout.
• After a slow start to the season, the Warriors finished the month of April hitting .289 as a team, including five games where it hit over .400. The team also didn't exceed an ERA over 4.00, including four shutouts.
• Sophomore Abigail Amato leads the team in RBI, driving in 26 runs on the season; she also leads the league in slugging percentage with a .491.
• Merrimack defeated Assumption in its final game of the regular season series; the team tied the game with a two-run seventh inning before piling on four runs in the seventh to walk away with a 12-8 victory.
