PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – After a nail-biting finish on Friday afternoon that saw the Merrimack College women's rowing team narrowly miss out on an appearance in the Women's Varsity Four (DII & DIII) Grand Final at the Dad Vail Regatta, the Warriors returned to the water on Saturday morning to record a first-place finish in the event's Petite Final. The Dad Vail – the largest intercollegiate regatta nationwide – marked the Warriors' final event of the spring season on the Schulykill River in Philadelphia, Pa.

- Merrimack raced against some of the nation's best fours crews on Friday and Saturday, and came within less than one second from joining the top-six boats in the Grand Final. Merrimack and Jefferson's top boat were separated by .6 seconds that resulted in the Rams edging the Warriors for second place in the first heat. Jefferson finished last in the Grand Final
- In the heat, Merrimack blew away the fourth-place (Franklin Pierce) and fifth-place (Tampa) finishers, reaching the finish line by nearly a full minute ahead of both crews. Florida Tech won Merrimack's heat and went on to claim the WV4 title
- Saturday's Petite Final saw Merrimack race at a blistering pace from the third lane, besting Franklin Marshall by nearly five full seconds and Marietta by nearly 15 to create a clear separation between the top-three boats in the race. The team finished seventh overall in the event
