BURLINGTON, Vt. – Two second-half goals by University of Vermont freshman Rasmus Tobinski helped push the Catamounts to victory in Friday night's non-conference matchup against the Merrimack College men's soccer team.  The loss moved the Warriors to 2-3 on the season.

The Summary
	- The best scoring chance for the Warriors in the first half came from sophomore forward Tola Showunmi when he drove pass the defense and fired a shot at the bottom left of the goal that was saved by Catamount goalkeeper Aron Runarsson.
 
	- Vermont struck first on a penalty kick that found the back of the net off the foot of senior Ivar Orn Arnason in the 38th minute.   
 
	- Three minutes into the second half, Vermont added to their lead with a goal by Rasmus Tobinski.   
 
	- Vermont added their second score late in the second half.  Tobinski scored his second goal of the game to solidify the win for the Catamounts.
 
Stats & Figures
	- Freshman midfielder Alessandro Negri led the Warriors with two shots on goal.  
 
	- Graduate student Lucas Rezende had three saves on the night.
 
	- Vermont outshot Merrimack by one, 14-13
 
	- Merrimack received two yellow cards during tonight's game.
