NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team will compete in its first two Northeast Conference (NEC) conference matches this weekend, visiting Robert Morris University on Friday followed by Saint Francis University on Saturday. The Warriors face the Colonials on Friday night at 7 p.m, followed by the Red Flash on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
Five Things to Know:
- During their last weekend matches, the Warriors won their first Division I set against Siena as part of three matches at the Lafayette Invitational
- The Warriors have had 10 practice days since their last match on September 14th, returning to action with hunger
- Senior Catherine Flaherty leads the team with a total of 56 kills so far this season, and looks to build on that in both matches this weekend
- Senior Rosie Sperduto has appeared in every set during her last season with the Warriors, fighting to post her season-best 37 assists in one match
- Several members of Merrimack's freshmen class have seen significant action in the early part of Merrimack's season; freshman libero Taelyr Czech leads the team in digs to highlight the newcoemrs
