NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Warriors return to action stateside after competing in the Friendship Series in Belfast, Northern Ireland, as the squad heads up to Burlington, Vermont to take on the University of Vermont Catamounts in the final game of the season series on Saturday.
Merrimack looks to add points in the Hockey East standings after falling in two non-conference contests against the Quinnipiac Bobcats to start 2020. The Warriors start a four game road stint with the Catamounts, after dropping a pair of games at home to Vermont in October.
Five Things to Know:

Dominika Laskova had a three point weekend in Belfast, tallying two goals and an assist in the pair of games against Quinnipiac.
•
Courtney Maud had the Warriors' first goal in Europe with her tally 1:19 into the second period in the first game of the Friendship Series on Jan. 4, and earned player of the game honors for her work in the contest.
• Both goaltenders put forward strong games in Belfast. In the first contest, senior netminder
Lea-Kristine Demers made 29 saves, and in the second
Emma Gorski made 36 saves against the Bobcats.
• The Warriors and Catamounts are playing their final game of the season series, after the two teams tied on Oct. 25 and Vermont earned a victory on Oct. 26 at Lawler.
• All-time at Gutterson Fieldhouse, the Warriors are 4-2 and hold a 7-5-2 overall record against Vermont.
A Look at the Catamounts:
Vermont opened the new year splitting a home series with Providence, taking the first game 4-3 on Jan. 4 before losing 3-1 on Jan. 5. This season, the Catamounts are 8-9-5 overall and 5-7-3 with ties coming against Merrimack, UNH and UConn.
The Catamounts offense is led by a pair of defenders, as sophomore Maude Poulin-Labelle has tallied a team-leading10 goals and 20 points. Leading the team in assists is Sini Karjalainen, with 16 helpers and 19 points. Second on the team in goals is Corinne McCool with nine, as well as eight assists, followed by Theresa Schafzahl with six goals and 16 points this season.
In net, the sophomore class continues to set the pace for the Catamounts, as Blanka Skodova has made 16 appearances in net, turning a 5-5-4 mark, with a 2.20 goals against and .899 save percentage. Her backup is first year Natalie Ferenc, who has seen nine games in her rookie campaign, earning a 2.94 goals against and .863 save percentage with her 3-4-1 overall record.
