NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team will travel for the first time Tuesday with an afternoon matchup at The University of New Hampshire. Game time at UNH's Tucker Field is set for 2:30 p.m.

Five Things To Know:
  • Merrimack looks to build on its first game to the University of Vermont, a 19-11 defeat. The Warriors scored just 37 seconds into the game to score the first Division I women's lacrosse goal at Merrimack College. Merrimack led by a 5-1 margin in the first half, but saw UVM score eight unanswered goals to end the half, taking the lead for the remainder of the game.
  • Junior attacker Haley Bartlett scored Merrimack's first Division I goal with the assist coming from classmate Lulu Sweeney. Bartlett finished the day with a hat trick. Freshman attacker Natalie Calkins had an excellent college debut scoring a hat trick, and was named NEC Rookie of the Week. Ally DaCosta had an impressive day ending with four assists to lead all Warriors in points alongside Bartlett.
  • Senior Danielle Schweitzer led the team in ground balls with four on the day and added four caused turnovers to be named NEC Defensive Player of the Week. Senior goalkeeper Tammy Nguyen played between the pipes for the entire 60 minutes and finished the day with eight saves.
  • Tuesday marks the first-ever game against UNH for the women's lacrosse team. This will be the first of ten games on the road for the Warriors and the first of six non-conference road matchups. Tuesday will also be the second of three America East Conference opponents Merrimack will face this season.
  • UNH looks to build upon its 10-7 season that ended in the America East Championship game with a loss to University at Albany by the score of 20-16. UNH's top-scorer and All-Conference selection returns as well as its All-Rookie selection goalie who started in all 16 games last season.
