How It Happened
- Colletti scored the first goal of the game three minutes into the first half. Her goal was unassisted. Calkins followed Colletti scoring her fourth goal of the season which also did not have an assist. The Wildcats put one on the board to pull within one. DaCosta answered with her first goal of the game to make the Warrior lead two again. UNH cut the Merrimack lead back to once after scoring a goal with just over 12 minutes left to play in the half. DaCosta received a pass from freshman Kelly Corrigan, shot and scored to give Merrimack back the two-goal advantage. The Wildcats then scored three unanswered goals to swing a one-goal advantage their way. Darrell tied things up for Merrimack in the last goal of the half, making the score 5-5 heading into the break.
- In the second half the Wildcats opened up with two unanswered goals to give them a two-goal lead. Darrell then found the back of the net to put the Warriors down just one. UNH came storming back scoring three goals in seven minutes to push the lead up to four. Colletti and Calkins scored back-to-back goals to bring the Warriors within two. The Wildcats then answered with two goals of their own. Junior Meghan Dzialo scored a goal with just under 10 minutes to play to cut the lead to three. UNH scored three unanswered goals to end the game.
