NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College field hockey team honored the Class of 2022 Sunday afternoon at Duane Stadium, as it was topped by Fairfield, 5-0.
The Warriors paid tribute to its eight person class along with
Colleen Ellis, who was the sole class of 2021 graduate. Included in the 2022 graduates are
Vanessa Kaddaras,
Bridget Shanahan,
Riley Lambert,
Alyssa Crochetiere,
Isabelle Duseau,
Riley Brown,
Meaghan O'Brien and
Juliane Ohmen. The group was recognized pregame along with its families and close friends.
Fairfield, who entered with an undefeated record in NEC play, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first quarter, then tacked on two more before the halftime break.

- The Stags found the back of the net twice in the opening 15 minutes in book ended fashion. They took the lead on a penalty stroke goal 3:39 into the game, then doubled its lead with two seconds to play.
- Fairfield pushed the lead to four in the second quarter, but Brown kept the Warriors in the game with four saves in the opening half hour.
- Merrimack looked to get back in the game in the second half with a trio of shots and a penalty corner in the third quarter, but it was held off the board.
- Brown completed her senior day performance with five more saves in the final half hour to make it nine stops on the day.
Notes and Figures
- Abby Allen had a pair of shots, including one on goal that nearly found the back of the net.
- Kaddaras had an in-tight opportunity off the rush that was stopped for the team's second shot on goal.
- Brown played all 60 minutes in the cage to make it 486:32 on the season.
