NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Merrimack College field hockey team would not go away Friday night at Yale's Johnson Field, as it clawed back to take a late lead, then fell in a heartbreaker of a 4-3 decision in overtime to Sacred Heart.

Katelyn Bennett notched her first collegiate multi-goal game and Vanessa Kaddaras found the back of the cage for her first goal as a Warrior to pace the Merrimack offense. Kaddaras' goal staked the visitors to the lead with just over five minutes to play in the fourth, but the Pioneers tied it up less than a minute later, then won the game in overtime.
